My boys left. They went out for a night on the town. They went on what I have been thinking of as a 'double date.' I am just grinning thinking about how much fun they are going to have.
Jack and his Daddy were invited by his teammate/neighbor/friend, Carter, and his Daddy (who is Jack Jack's coach this fall) to head to BRAVES COUNTRY!
We didn't tell Jack until yesterday. He didn't find out who he was going with until this morning. After a good day at school, a two hour nap, dressing his part as he does, Jack stood at the front door windows for thirty minutes waiting on them to get here. He was SO excited.
Carter came running to the door and it was so sweet from that moment on...
Jack gave Carter a baseball bracelet like his to say 'Thanks for taking me to the game," and Carter's reaction was so genuine, THANK YOU, JACK!
And they were off.
I think they are so ready for this game tonight. HA!
PS...Jason is supposed to email me a picture from the ball park...stay tuned!
****** This just in!!!
PPS... This is the message I emailed to Jack's coach this morning:
At Jack’s school, they can’t take in one of their favorite things or anything like that for Show and Tell. It is always something that has to do with what they are studying and right now in Social Studies, they are learning about time lines. Attached is Jack’s time line. He was instructed to include a baby picture, one from being a toddler and a current picture. Jack and I sat down at the computer and went through files of pictures for him to choose from each period. Please know how many pictures we honestly have. His mother totally didn’t make the cut. I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall and hear what he shares….
Thanks for making a big impact on Jack already!!

And this just sums up what an incredible man Coach Phillip is:
Wow, so honored!! Not that your son could move up any further in my book, but if there was ever a doubt - he is my favorite ballplayer on the team outside of Carter!! I must say, I wish I could be at the Show and Tell as well!
Please tell him that Coach is SO proud and that it made my day!! Look forward to hanging out with him tonight as well - should be fun!
Awesome.
